Environmental and Sustainability Policy

At Britna, are committed to sustainable development (meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs) as a guiding principle within our work. Concern for the environment is an integral and fundamental part of this commitment. We aim to reduce the impact on the environment from our operations.

We will assess the environmental impacts of our operations and set objectives and targets to improve our environmental performance. We will regularly review these targets.

We will:

  • Promote responsibility for the environment within the organisation and communicate and implement this policy at all levels within the workforce;
  • Reduce the use of energy, water and other resources;
  • Minimise waste by reduction, re-use and recycling methods;
  • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation/regulations.
  • Identify and provide appropriate training, advice and information for staff and encourage them to develop new ideas and initiatives;
  • Provide appropriate resources to meet the commitments of this policy.

We will also respond to government targets by:

  • Preparing and promoting an environmental policy and action plan.
  • Arranging automatic shutdown of PCs at an agreed time each evening.
  • Closely monitoring utility consumption for the office.
  • keeping records as appropriate (start of an Environmental Management System).
  • Where appropriate, increasing recycling options.
  • Using environmentally friendly products in kitchen areas.

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

This Policy is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps we have taken to minimise the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains.

 

Introduction    

Britna Ltd is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking from occurring in our office and any of our suppliers and subcontractors. As a professional services organisation, our services are delivered to our customers and clients. Our commitment is to ensure that organisations that we contract with to receive services are aware of our policies to comply with the Modern Slavery Act. 

This commitment is evident through our company policies, which aim to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards. We ensure adherence to policy commitments and compliance with current Government legislation and regulations. 

Britna Ltd is a service provider, working across a range of clients from industry leaders, managers and professionals, to young people, apprentices, policy-makers and the media.  

The vast majority of our suppliers and contractors are based in the UK.

Britna Ltd is committed to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the abolition of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Previous action

Britna Ltd introduced an anti-slavery policy to all our staff following consultation with staff representatives.

The incorporation of the anti-slavery policy into our Employee Handbook.

 

Current action

Ensure that staff involved in buying or procurement and the recruitment and deployment of workers receive training on modern slavery.

Britna Ltd is actively considering how we can increase the attention of our suppliers to a zero-tolerance policy to modern slavery.

This policy will be reviewed and updated every year.
